Prayer for the NHS

Pete Creber is a respiratory consultant for the NHS in Bristol. During our Online Sunday Service, we took time to ask Pete for some prayer points for the NHS. He listed three things and we hope you’ll join us in continuing to pray:

1. Thankfulness

Pete spoke of the reasons to be optimistic and thankful. Compared to other nations around the world, we’re relatively well-prepared and resourced. We should be thankful to God for his provision in this way!

2. For the Health and Wellbeing of NHS Staff

We were reminded of the general anxiety and stress many of us are feeling right now, and how NHS workers have to deal with this on top of the added complications for their work serving those in need.

3. For the Individual

Pete highlighted the importance of care for the individual. This is a major facet of his commitment to working within the NHS and it’s true for his colleagues too. As the numbers of people requiring medical attention go up, Pete wants the level of care and attention to remain constant.
