The 10 Commandments of Returning to Church

Community Church Greenway.jpg

Having promised some time ago to update you on when we will return to the Greenway Centre, we are excited to announce that we are hoping to hold our first service there on Sunday 13th September at 10.30am!

In order for this to happen and for us to meet safely, there will be a number of changes to the way we normally do things so please read the following carefully:

1. Thou Shalt Register Thy Attendance

You will have to register online before coming by using this link (or the event in the diary on the website). This is to help us comply with the government track and trace system and speed up the registration process when you arrive at church.

2. Care For Thy Elders

The government advice is that all members of our church family over 70 years old should consider staying at home (but it is your decision).

3. Thou Shalt Not Attend If Thou Art Stricken with Covid

Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID or if you have been required to isolate under the quarantine regulations.

4. Wear Thy Facemask

The law requires that everyone attending wear a facemask.

5. Thou Shalt Spread Out

Upon arrival, we ask that you queue with 2m gaps and please wait patiently!

6. Keep Thy Hands Sanctified/Sanitised

You will be asked to use the available Hand sanitiser on entry to the Greenway Centre

7. Thou Shalt Be Guided By Thine Stewards

The Stewards will guide you to your socially distanced seating or to the appropriate area to register for the children's church or youth groups. Once the service ends you'll also be guided to leave row by row.

8. Provision for Thy Offspring

The children and youth programme is designed to last the same length of time as the service so as soon as the service ends you'll be free to collect your children and leave.

9. Love Thy Neighbour From a Distance

Play nice! I recognise people have a wide range of responses to social distancing so please respect each others space.

10. Keep Thy Voice Down

Sadly, singing is forbidden so we'll have to get used to quietly speaking the words.
