Prayer Room 2021
Welcome to the Community Church & Branch's virtual prayer room. Sadly, we're not able to have a physical prayer space this year, because we would be required to clean it between every visitor. Instead, I hope you can find a space in your own home or out on a walk to spend this precious time with God.
The fact that you've found this website is a good sign! My prayer for you is that this hour goes quickly, because you are enjoying God's presence so much.
The joy of signing up to a prayer room is that you've already chosen to put this time aside for God, and there's no pressure to rush away and do something else. And if you feel at this point you want to make yourself comfortable with a cup of tea, please do. One advantage of being in your own home is that there's likely to be fresh milk in the fridge!
The theme of this year's prayer room is "The Heart". Our hearts, God's heart, the heart of worship. There are different "prayer activities" to help you on this page.
In my own personal experience, having a bit of structure helps me to focus. You can do as many or as few as you like. Don't feel you have to race through them and complete them all - some may call out to you more than others. A couple of them involve making something. You may well have most of the materials you need around your home, or picked some up at church, but if you don't, feel free to improvise.
I really pray this hour blesses you and inspires you to continue your prayer journey into 2021.
